Rotterdam - A concert held in Rotterdam's Maassilo on Wednesday night was canceled in connection with a terror threat.
Police received information about a possible terror threat. After looking into it and talking to the concert organizer it was decided, at around 19.00 hrs to cancel the concert.
A police officer that was stationed close to the venue decided to stop a van that he saw driving at around 21.30 hrs. The van had Spanish plates and was driven by a Spanish national. Inside the van where a couple of gass bottles. Whether there is a link with the terror threat is being looked into. The driver was taken into custody.
The Maassilo is located in the South of Rotterdam and is a former silo that is in use as a concert- and dance venue and some companies have their offices there.
