The Amsterdam city government is to investigate whether a monument can be erected at the site where the then-illegal newspaper Het Parool was printed. The council broady supports the plan for a visible tribute to the resistance paper. “We are delighted that a large majority of the city council wishes to honour the history of Het Parool in this way.”
