Amsterdam received no new Michelin-starred restaurants for the first time in ten years. Three restaurants also lost their star(s). According to hospitality trend watcher Wouter Verkerk, this result reflects the pressure that Amsterdam restaurants are under. ‘I wonder if chefs can still cook at a star-worthy level for that kind of money.’
